Leading Southern Shorthaul Railroad service 8146 from Kelso to Port Botany. GM27, in a special livery, leads 2 hired VL class locomotives from CFCLA through Locksley on the Main West Line.
GM27 and S317 have both been painted in an SSR version of the Australian National Passenger livery that the CLP class locomotives wore throughout the 90's. This striking livery is a departure from the traditional mostly yellow livery, and sits quite nicely on the Streamliner units.
Several VL class locomotives have been hired due to an increase in traffic for use on various SSR trains across NSW, at Lithgow GM27 will be taken off and another VL added for the trip to Port Botany.
