By early 1994 only two of the 37 DL500B World ALCos originally built for the South Australian Railway remained in regular service.
Remarkably we saw both in the Barossa Valley on this particular day and both (961/963) managed to survive in traffic for another twelve months. Unfortunately 963 didn't seem to get any cleaner during the ensuing year.
