Once considered the last word in New South Wales Electric Locomotive development, 8601 stands quietly at Kooragang Island, far from the overhead lines that powered it and stripped of its pantographs.
Fortunately the locomotive has passed into preservation after being purchased by Dorrigo Steam Railway & Museum
